Adapting architecture to length and shape
Short overlays usually require subtle reinforcement and a natural transition. As length increases, leverage increases and the architecture must be planned accordingly. Square shapes need clean sidewall alignment and a balanced free edge. Almond structures require symmetry, a controlled upper arch and a central line that does not twist.
Growth direction may require visual and structural correction. A downward-growing nail should not simply receive more product everywhere. An upward-growing nail may need a different lower-arch and free-edge decision. Dual forms also change placement because the product is shaped partly inside the form before application.
